Last month, Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Todd Young (R-IN) introduced the bipartisan Long COVID Support Act to accelerate Long Covid research and provide relevant information to patients and medical providers.
Solve is excited to support this evolution of the CARE for Long Covid Act, which our advocates rallied around during 2023 Advocacy Week! The CARE act was also introduced in part by Senator Kaine and seeks to improve research and provide resources to people living with Long Covid.
Provisions from the CARE act were also included in the PAHPARA bill recently examined in a Senate Health Committee meeting. The echoes of our advocacy can be felt across these various efforts, and we’re committed to pushing for legislation that seeks to increase research on, and improve access to, supportive services for individuals with Long Covid and related conditions — including ME/CFS.
