How Long Until We Solve Long Covid?
What is Long Covid?
Up to 30% of Covid-19 survivors develop Long Covid, a broad range of debilitating symptoms like crippling fatigue, brain fog, severe exhaustion after mild exertion, shortness of breath, heart issues, etc. We don’t yet understand what causes Long Covid, nor do we know how to fully treat it. So, for now, Long Covid can be lifelong.
Get Involved in Research
Get involved in scientific efforts to diagnose, treat, and prevent Long Covid:
- All of US (National Institutes of Health)
- Clinical Trials (U.S. Nat’l Library of Medicine)
- Efficacy and Safety Study of Efgartigimod in Adults with Post-COVID-19 POTS
- Paxlovid for Treatment of Long Covid (STOP-PASC)
- RECOVER (National Institutes of Health)
- Patient-Focused Drug Development for Long Covid (U.S. Food and Drug Administration)
What Can I Do to Help?
The Solve Long Covid Initiative will continue to raise the question of “How Long?” to government officials, researchers, doctors and pharmaceutical companies until Long Covid is no longer. Here are four ways to get involved:

Join Solve M.E. Advocacy Week
Meet with members of Congress to educate, empower, and deliver our message: “#StopTheLongHaul now!”

Long Covid Resources
We collected information and resources for individuals navigating Long Covid themselves or alongside loved ones.

Support Our Work to Solve Long Covid
Fund research efforts to find treatments and cures, advocacy on Capitol Hill and our national advertising campaign to generate awareness of the disease.

Spread the Word About the “How Long?” Campaign
Reinforce the need for research. Help us make our Long Covid public service announcement go viral! Share this video with your friends, family, employers, and online community.
Solve Convenes Pharma Partners to Treat Long Covid
Solve M.E. and BIO co-hosted a timely and informative event examining the emerging research in Long Covid and the existing body of data in other post-infection diseases such as ME/CFS. The event was designed to bring biotech into the conversation about Long Covid and other post-infection diseases and was well-attended by industry drug-developer, academic researchers, healthcare providers, patient advocates, and policymakers.
In this special video, Senator Kaine spoke candidly about his three-year Long Covid journey, and what’s needed to make real progress for the millions who suffer.

The time to solve Long Covid is NOW!
If you or a loved one are struggling with Long Covid, more than likely you have been crying out for scientists to find a cure.
Due to the pandemic, our organization has received more requests for research grants than ever in our 36 year history. This is great news. But, only if we can fund this crucial work.
We are the Solve Long Covid Initiative. We are a part of the leading nonprofit dedicated to supporting key research into solving Long Covid and other post infection illnesses, both by funding scientists directly and by influencing government spending.
Yes, I’d like to help make Long Covid no longer.
