How to Support Maryland’s HB27: The Long COVID Innovation Grant and Loan Program

About HB27:

This bill would establish a state-level grant and loan initiative through TEDCO to fund innovative research, treatment development, and manufacturing solutions for Long COVID and related conditions. With over 15% of Marylanders affected and no existing cure, this legislation is a critical step toward recovery, equity, and economic innovation. It also positions Maryland as a national leader in post-viral research and health innovation.

For those in Maryland, you can submit written or electronic testimony.

Step-by-step instructions here:

We’re asking organizations to sign on in support of the bill by endorsing this letter to lawmakers:

👉 Read the sign-on letter
👉 Add your organization’s name here
👉 Review the bill text here

Even if your organization can’t sign on directly, we’d be so grateful if you could share this with partners, coalitions, or other groups in your network who might be interested. The more voices we bring to the table, the stronger our message to lawmakers will be.

If you would like to sign on as an individual advocate, please feel free to put “ME/CFS Patient Advocate” or “Long COVID Patient Advocate,” etc. as your organization name.

If you have any questions, or want to connect, please feel free to reach out to Solve M.E. Director of Advocacy Monique Wike at mwike@solvecfs.org.

Your gift is DOUBLED through June 30!
