Solve Together is our dynamic, patient-centered platform that aims to accelerate the discovery of treatments and cures by integrating relevant patient and healthy control data from multiple sources. Created in collaboration with CareEvolution and the largest database of its kind in the U.S., Solve Together gives users the tools to create reports for their doctors, sync health-tracking wearables, and discern their own distinct symptom and health trends while also connecting researchers with individuals interested in participating in clinical research studies.
We’re excited to announce the launch of a unique collaborative partnership around Solve Together that will advance and expand our research efforts in ways that will benefit the entire community. This partnership brings together data, insights, and expertise to accelerate breakthroughs. By sharing knowledge and building on existing work, it transforms research into real solutions—faster diagnoses, better treatments, and improved outcomes for patients.
We’re partnering with the Brain Inflammation Collaborative (BIC), a trusted nonprofit organization that has the specialized expertise needed to take Solve Together to the next level. BIC will expand the scope of the Solve Together platform to include children and adolescents, Spanish-speaking participants, and additional neuroinflammatory disease diagnoses; and will augment the platform’s focus to look at how neuroinflammation impacts mental health symptoms and treatments.
BIC looks to unite patients, researchers, and clinicians to bridge gaps in understanding about the relationship between brain inflammation and mental health symptoms, working toward a future where no one’s neuroinflammation symptoms are dismissed as “just in their head.”
This collaboration will allow researchers to apply a cross-sectional lens across overlapping diagnoses and to better study risk factors, and potential treatments across the participant lifespan. We look to reduce redundancies in research by providing open-source data to be used in a more timely fashion and to build upon discoveries already made while providing researchers with the tools needed to complete their research.
We’ll also be sharing Solve Together data with the Complex Disorders Alliance, a patient-founded nonprofit in the complex disorder field that collaborates with organizations, scientists, and clinicians to accelerate the development of new diagnostics and treatments.
Finally, we’ll be sharing Solve Together data with ChronicleBio, a medical research organization focused on building the richest, AI-ready data platform for chronic illness to empower patients, providers, and pharma and fuel the next-generation of AI tools that accelerate discovery and expand access to meaningful clinical trials.
Patients can still enroll in Solve Together and can download the MyDataHelps app to enter and view their data. The Solve Together functionality that you know and love will remain – and no further action will be needed for current participants. All data will continue to be stored within a secure database managed by CareEvolution. Thanks to this collaboration, participant de-identified health information will be made available for research projects by Solve, BIC, CODA, and ChronicleBio as well as other vetted and approved researchers.
This groundbreaking collaboration across multiple partner organizations will leverage decades of patient-reported data to advance our understanding of these often misunderstood and misrepresented conditions impacting hundreds of millions of adults and children worldwide.
The Complex Disorders Alliance and ChronicleBio are currently recruiting for The MELO Study looking into biomarkers for ME/CFS and Long Covid. To sign up for MELO, click here.
BIC will soon announce their open registration for studies of ME/CFS, Long Covid, and 30+ other chronic illness diagnoses. Stay tuned for more information!
