WORKPLACE GIVING
Many companies facilitate charitable giving through a variety of workplace programs.
Matching Gifts
Your contribution goes further when matched dollar for dollar by your employer. Check with your company’s human resources department to see if they have a matching gift program. It is completely free to you and could double or even triple your donation.
Combined Federal Campaign
Employees of the federal government are eligible to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). This workplace giving program enables employees to contribute to the charity of their choice through payroll deduction. The Solve ME/CFS Initiative participates in the CFC as a member of Health & Medical Research Charities of America. Our designation number is 10598.
State and Municipal Campaigns
Like the federal government, many state governments also have workplace charitable fund drives. The Solve ME/CFS Initiative applies for these campaigns state-by-state as each state has its own unique eligibility criteria.
Independent Corporate Campaigns
Many companies like Clorox, Fidelity, Mobil, 3Com, IBM, and Bank of America run their own independent campaigns. Through our affiliation with Independent Charities of America (ICA), the Solve ME/CFS Initiative is included in some companies’ donor brochures, but most include charities based on past giving selections of their own employees. So, if you don’t see us listed and your company allows you to “write in” a charity, please be sure to designate the Solve ME/CFS Initiative.
United Way Campaigns
Most local United Ways now offer a “Donor Option” program that allows contributors to “write-in” a charity not listed within the United Way brochure. If you participate in a United Way campaign and we are not listed, please take advantage of this new “Donor Option” program and write the Solve ME/CFS Initiative in on your pledge card.
