Applications Open for 2026 Ramsay Research Grants

Solve is now accepting applications for the Ramsay Research Grant Program! This year marks the 10th anniversary of Ramsay, a decade of investing in the ME/CFS research workforce, bringing new investigators into the field, and helping promising ideas develop into larger, sustained research programs.

The program supports innovative, early-stage research aimed at advancing the biological understanding of infection-associated chronic conditions and illnesses (IACCIs), with a particular focus on ME/CFS and Long Covid. Since 2016, Ramsay has helped investigators generate critical preliminary data, establish new lines of inquiry, and build a foundation for larger studies and future funding.

Over the last decade, Solve has invested over $1.6 million in Ramsay grants, and recipients have gone on to secure over $105 million in follow-on funding – an amazing 66x return on investment.

Some previous Ramsay winners who’ve gone on to secure significant follow-on funding for their research include Dr. Jarred Younger, Dr. Liz Worthey, Dr. Carmen Scheibenbogen, and Dr. Liisa Selin, all of whom have moved the science forward in meaningful ways.

If you’d like to join their ranks and get support for your research, we encourage you to apply for a Ramsay Research Grant today.

We’re currently soliciting proposals for:

  • PhD Student Award: $50,000 for one year
  • Early-Stage Investigator Awards (Postdoctoral / New Faculty / Returning Faculty): up to $100,000 over two years
  • Collaborative Research Award: up to $150,000 over two years
    • This award prioritizes collaborations between at least two researchers. Ideally, at least one of these researchers is new to ME/CFS, Long COVID, or infection-associated chronic condition research. Multi-site projects are acceptable, but the award budget limit applies per project, not per institution.
