SUMMARY:Skeletal Muscle Fatigue and Post-Exertional Malaise in Patients with Long Covid and Implications for ME/CFS
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, October 3\, 2024\, Solve M.E. will host a free educational webinar featuring Assistant Professor Rob Wüst from the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam\, Netherlands)\, who will discuss skeletal muscle fatigue and post-exertional malaise in patients with Long Covid and the implications for ME/CFS. \nDr. Wüst received a Solve M.E. Ramsay Research Grant in 2022 to study muscle pain\, post-exertional malaise\, and treatments for pain and malaise in patients with diseases like Long Covid and ME/CFS. He found that\, at the physiological and molecular levels\, post-exertional malaise differs from general fatigue.
