CFS Advisory Committee Meets May 22-23

CFSAC-Meeting1The federal Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee (CFSAC) meets next on May 22-23, 2013 in Washington, D.C. This chartered advisory committee provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Assistant Secretary for Health on issues related to ME/CFS. Here is the Federal Register notice announcing the meeting:

The Solve ME/CFS Initiative is one of three organizations recently appointed to be liaison members of the CFSAC, a new designation added in the most recent charter signed by Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius on August 29, 2013. President & CEO Kim McCleary will represent the Solve ME/CFS Initiative at this meeting and engagement manager Leigh Reynolds will also attend, as will members of the Association’s Board of Directors. The other two organizations appointed as liaison members are the New Jersey CFS Association and the International Association for CFS/ME.

The meeting is open to the public and will be webcast live for those who are unable to attend in person. To register in person, please complete the registration form at before Friday, May 17, 2013. No advance registration is required to view the webcast or listen to the audiocast.
