Similarities to Lyme Disease

The Institute of Medicine published a comprehensive report on Lyme disease. CFS was addressed throughout the report. According to several studies, 11.6 percent of patients with Lyme disease have symptoms consistent with CFS six months after the tick bite. The report provided a comprehensive summary of the literature on Lyme disease and revealed many similarities to CFS in the observed immune, endocrine and neurological abnormalities.
