Novel Pathogens

Researchers in the U.S. and Sweden reported that they examined 45 pairs of twins discordant for CFS or idiopathic chronic fatigue (one twin had CFS or ICF and the other did not) for evidence of novel pathogens. A weak association with hepatitis G virus was found in nine percent of the cases and zero percent of the controls. (BMC Microbiology, Jan. 2, 2011)
