Global Measure of Sleep Quality Inadequate

Mariman et al. at the University Hospital Ghent (Belgium) used a sleep questionnaire to assess sleep disturbances in 413 CFS patients. Subjects showed disturbances that clustered into three groups: Sleep Efficiency, Perceived Sleep Quality and Daily Disturbances. Based on this analysis, the authors conclude that global measure of sleep quality is not adequate for assessing sleep quality in CFS patients. (Journal of Psychosomatic Research, Feb. 2012)
